I started working at UCR in 2012. For me it was a big change after working as a (assistant)-accountant since I started working at the age of 18. I started working 16 hours a week, because I was also working for my own accountancy firm. But after several years I had to decide between working at UCR or working for my own firm, because doing both wasn’t possible anymore. Because of working with colleagues again and mainly because UCR is a vibrant working place where I really felt at home, I chose for UCR. Working as a controller is very diverse. It’s working with the story behind the numbers not working with the numbers. No day is the same and the pressure is sometimes high. But at UCR we are a team and together with all my colleagues we will keep making stories.
