About me

I am currently working as Assistant Professor of Methods and Statistics at the Social Sciences Department. I’m holding few external positions such as co-chair of the publication Early Psychologists Committee of the American Psychological Association (div. 52) and editor of International Psychology Bulletin (APA periodical of div. 52). At UCR, I’m teaching primarily Qualitative and Quantitative Research Methodology and Statistics 200-level courses, and Abnormal Psychology (200-level). My main area of research interests includes emotion regulation and mental health in various (gender-, ethnic-) minority groups. I work at the UCR because it is characterized by a liberal and international educational climate. Students are excited and motivated to participate. Colleagues are dedicated and supportive. Small-scale education is making it possible to get to know your students and colleagues, and to learn from each other. UCR provides a truly synergistic learning environment!
