About me

I am currently working as an Associate Professor of Research Methods and Statistics at the Social Science department. In the past, I held various positions at UCR such as Head of the Social Science department, chair of UCR Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) committee, and chair of Program Committee. At UCR, I am teaching primarily Quantitative Research Methodology and Statistics course (200-level), Abnormal Psychology (200-level) and Organizational Psychology (300-level), and I am supervising undergraduate research (Senior Projects – SEPRs, academic internships, and research assistantships). My main area of research interests includes emotion regulation and mental health in various (gender-, ethnic-) minority groups. I really believe that diversity and inclusion are both at the core of our society, and should be in the heart of the academia, too. Consequently, I am constantly looking for opportunities for students to foster inclusiveness and connectedness to society.
