About me
Hello! My name is Denise Nijhuis and I work at University College Roosevelt as Coordinator Student Recruitment and Admissions. I oversee UCRs admissions procedure from start to finish, including our recruitment activities in the Netherlands and beyond, as well as our admissions policies and procedures. I graduated from UCR with a BA in Liberal Arts and Sciences (Anthropology, Law and Religious Studies) in 2011. After living in Budapest for two years while completing an MA in Nationalism Studies, I returned to Middelburg in 2013 and have been working in recruitment and admissions ever since. Outside UCR I am active in the field of College Guidance and Admissions as well and have served on the Council of International Schools (CIS) Webinar Committee and as Vice-President for Professional Development of the International Association for College Admissions Counseling (IACAC).
