About me

I followed the main subjects choral conducting and harpsichord at the Fontys Conservatory in Tilburg. My teachers included Hoite Wigsma, Martien van Woerkum, Louis Buskens, Cynthia Wilson and Rémy Syrier.

After my studies, I worked at the Fontys Conservatory as a conductor / teacher, and was the conductor at the Eindhoven Student Music Company Quadrivium and the Eindhoven Chamber Choir. I made two well-received CDs together with vocal ensemble Paragon consisting of choral music by Andries Clement. With my choirs I like to explore the interface between classical music and theater. Currently I am conductor of the Tilburg Vocal Ensemble and the Roosevelt College Choir. As a harpsichordist I perform as a solist and with various ensembles and orchestras.

In addition to my work as a musician, I was a consultant at Kunstbalie, center of expertise for cultural education and amateur art in Noord-Brabant. Later I continued these activities in Stichting Maestro, which I founded. In June 2020, I obtained the diploma of the Fontys Master’s program in Art Education.
