I am the Managing Director ad interim and will be at UCR until the end of 2021. I studied Business Economics in Tilburg and am an economist/manager. My varied career includes working at a housing corporation, a consultancy organization, the Dutch Railways (NS) and the ministry of Defense. In 2007, I started at Utrecht University where I’ve held positions as controller of the Humanities Faculty, before switching to real estate & campus and facilities departments. I was as CFO responsible for control, administration and business staff. This involved working on renovations, demolition and new buildings, in conjunction with insurance and business agreements with external organizations settling on De Uithof. I’ve experienced first hand how important it is to collaborate well with legal departments, procurement and ICT. I have been involved in investment proposals, Q-reports, budgets, annual statements and long term plans that were discussed with the board of UU. My interests moved to coaching after my work at UU completed in 2019. I have been a language coach, mourning coach and support during a divorce.
For me it’s important to work with people, listen to them, to be their mirror, so that they can make new steps.
