My name is Fatima de Jonge. I am from Turkish origin, born in the Netherlands. I was raised bilingual and was given two cultures at once.
I am a hardworking, motivated person with a great sense of responsibility. I prefer to achieve my goals through a result-oriented approach. I would best describe myself as an independent, honest and helpful go-getter who works in an organized manner. I like to travel the world to make historical discoveries and see the different cultures.
I studied MBO business administrator in Middelburg. I have completed an online MBA Modern Business Administration course. After that I did a HBO Financial controller training at the Avans+ in Breda. During my education I did an internship at Schuitema Makelaars for 9 months, where I got to know the world of the real estate agent. Then I worked for 10 years at Damen Schelde Naval Shipbuilding as a financial administrator. I was promoted to Financial controller and started working at Schelde Gears on January 1, 2019. Here I was responsible for the entire administration.
Since June 15, 2021 I have been working as an Administrator at UCR. The University of our province in the city of Middelburg is a wonderful place to work. The antiquity and character of the building makes it an extra special place. This is my first experience of working at an educational institution. It is a lively environment with all those students, and it’s wonderful to see so many different origins and cultures come together from all over the world.
