My academic interest lies in the future of computing technologies and how we can utilize them in building a sustainable future. Prior to joining UCR, I performed theoretical and simulation-based research on design and performance analyses of emerging computing paradigms to assess and compare efficiency limitations of non-conventional technology proposals. Currently, at UCR, I am expanding the focus of my research to sustainable ICT in an attempt to bridge the gap between the micro- and macro-scale efficiency considerations. UCR provides a unique environment for interdisciplinary education by applying the principles of Liberal Arts to the skills of engineering which is where true innovation unfolds. As an educator with a diverse background in Physics, Electronics Engineering as well as Science and Technology Studies, I aim to guide students at UCR in designing solutions to many challenges facing society in the 21st century as well as using technology to make effective strides forward towards a sustainable future.
