The issues have been raised by institutions, entrepreneurs and organizations from the region in collaboration with HZ Nexus. For example, a number of students are investigating for the Municipality of Middelburg how they can make ten gymnasiums more sustainable and how you can best approach this process. The Municipality of Terneuzen has a similar question, which wants to present a vision for the future on the 50th anniversary of the iconic town hall.
Other teams were working on other sustainability issues and students are examining how the Zeelandia Middelburg football club can deal with too much or too little water on the football fields. A total of twenty issues have been submitted by Rijkswaterstaat, Ørsted, Orionis Walcheren, Outokompu and l’escaut, among others.
