HAC Bagijnhof Christmas Market
The yearly HAC Christmas Market in Bagijnhof has become quite the tradition. Like every year a team of UCR students has been working hard during the semester to organize the festive event on Thursday the 12th of December: The local primary schools have been invited, the hot chocolate is arranged and even Santa managed to clear his busy schedule to come and bring Bagijnhof a visit. It will be a cosy market with live music, cute stands, food, drinks and firepits to keep you warm. Even better, this year all proceeds of the market will go to Speelgoedbank Zeeland.
Speelgoedbank Zeeland
In Zeeland, one in every ten children lives at risk of poverty. This is why this year not just money will be collected, but also (second hand) toys. The proceeds and toys will be donated to Speelgoedbank Zeeland: a local cause which distributes toys to families who live in poverty with children. Speelgoedbank Zeeland will also be present on the market for the collection and sale of toys. If you have any toys you want to donate, please bring them!
Improving the bond
Originally the purpose of the Christmas Market was to connect students to the neighbours of Bagijnhof and other local residents of Middelburg. Now, the market has become a popular event where everyone is welcome. With lots of Christmas lights, beautiful music and many stalls, the students will once again transform the Bagijnhof street into a small winter wonderland.
Everyone is welcome to bring the Christmas Market a visit on the 12th of December between 16.00 and 20.00, entry is free!

Music Society Open Mic
On December 5, Music Society hosts the Christmas Open Mic night! This will be held in the Spot in Middelburg. It starts at 20:00, and will be a night filled with music for the holidays!
