Freedom Lectures
The Freedom Lectures inspire young and old alike to reflect on the value of freedom. Formulated by Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1941, the Four Freedoms are: Freedom of Expression, Freedom of Religion, Freedom from Fear and Freedom from Want. They are the four values upon which our society was founded. In the weeks before May 5 and on May 5 itself, the Four Freedoms are the occasion for debate and reflection, with Freedom Lectures being organized. Freedom Lectures are free of charge. However, reservations for Jeangu Macrooy’s lecture are required.
