The Convocation Address will be delivered by Dr. JoEllyn Prouty McLaren. A scholar and executive in learning, research, and business, Dr. Prouty McLaren’s 30 years of global experience in executive education, consulting, start-ups, and executive coaching, gives her unique insights into the opportunities and challenges facing today’s leaders and professionals as well as ways to develop the skills needed to manage through them successfully. Dr. Prouty McLaren will share how her growth mindset helped her turn her passion for other cultures into a career spanning six continents and starting her own business to help others achieve their potential. Having experienced many successes as well as some failures, she knows that building learning as a skill is one of the greatest gifts that we can give ourselves. Her comments promise a fitting start for the new class as they embark on their journey of professional and scholarly discovery to develop the insights and build the skills they need to lead the world through some of its most important and consequential times, now and in the future.
Convocation will take place in the Nieuwe Kerk in Middelburg, and starts at 16:00. The ceremony will be followed by a reception in the Kloostergangen. Attendance by invitation only.
