Caring Universities is a collaboration between Utrecht University, Leiden University, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, and Maastricht University, and its purpose is to raise awareness about mental health. Furthermore, it aims to improve the psychological health of students by providing accessible, free, and best practice care.

A mental health online questionnaire has been sent to students, who will receive feedback based on their answers. If they want, students are then invited to do online, anonymous treatment (also called e-health interventions).

The interventions are available in English and Dutch, and are specifically aimed at mood or stress complaints. This should help students take better care of themselves as they balance study, work, exercise and social life.
