Though the Abbey Square is not the most commonly visited place in Middelburg by students, UCR has several ties to this beautiful location. The square is where the Summer graduation ceremony takes place, weather permitting, and you can find the Roosevelt Institute for American Studies (RIAS) in one of the buildings. The RIAS is interesting for those who are interested in US history, but can also be used as a study space.
