Roy Daibata

Hi! I am Roy currently in my first semester coming from Kolkata, India. My interests are mostly in sciences, and I plan to be majoring in Earth science from UCR, but I am also interested in psychology in social sciences. That is one of the main reasons why I chose UCR to study at because it is a liberal arts and science institution so I can explore and combine my different interests and tailor the academics according to my liking. UCR offers a wide range of courses from engineering to arts and humanities which makes it unique. Another reason why I chose UCR is the small scale of the college and the international community it has. Despite the small scale and being in the little town of Middelburg, UCR has a high proportion of international students coming from all the different parts of the world which results in a diverse international environment which is warm and welcoming. That is really what makes UCR truly special and unique to me.
