Costs for students with a Dutch nationality

Tuition fees

The tuition fee for Dutch students is set at € 3235 for the 2018-2019 academic year. UCR will continue to seek a balance between high quality education and affordability for students.

Students at UCR are officially enrolled at Utrecht University, which means they qualify for all the student loans and support offered by the Dienst Uitvoering Onderwijs (DUO). For more information, please visit the Financial Support page.

The Dutch government intends to halve the statutory tuition fees for specific groups of first-year bachelor's students from the academic year 2018/19 onwards. You can find more information about current developments regarding the tuition fee on the website of the Dutch government.

Apart from the tuition fee, there are other expenses to take into account:

Rent on campus varies between € 300 and € 500. Depending on location and price students may apply for rent allowance with the Dutch government. The cost of housing at UCR is estimated at approximately € 375 per month (€ 4500 per year). This covers rent and utilities: gas, water, and electricity. Students have the use of a private bedroom and a shared living room, kitchenette and bathroom. Room sizes and housing arrangements vary, so please bear in mind that this is only an estimate.

Finally, students are required to fund personal expenses such as meals, clothes, books, sports, insurance, travel and other living expenses. UCR students are automatically members of the Roosevelt's All Student Association (RASA).
