You might have some preconceived notions about student associations – RASA is likely not that. Once you enroll in UCR and pay your tuition fee, you become a member of the association – joining its diverse and active member base. RASA aims to meet your interests, provide you with a space where you can express them, and encourages members to propose and execute their own initiatives and ideas. Furthermore, RASA offers organizational, promotional, and financial support to its committees in order to sustain UCR’s active and enthusiastic community.

RASA is not only about creating the typical university social life you may know from movies. On top of the Open Mics, parties, plays, and sports, they also support the organization of events such as guest lectures from prominent academics or politicians, as well as debates and publish a student magazine. Aside from attending events, you can contribute to RASA by providing input on how the budget should be spent, becoming a board member of one of its societies, or even start your own if you feel something is missing. Check out RASA’s active societies and teams here.

If you want to find out more about RASA or get a better impression of what we offer, you can take a look at our website or visit our Instagram page. If you want to meet us in person, we have office hours on weekdays during the academic year and always have a stand at UCR Open Days. Should you be left with any unanswered questions, contact us by email at rasa@ucr.nl. We hope to welcome you as a RASA Viking very soon!
