 Visiting Student Program

Each year, University College Roosevelt offers a number of international students who are seeking a one-year or one-semester experience at an English-speaking, undergraduate college in Europe the possibility of participating in the UCR visiting student program.

The visiting student program is open to students enrolled in an undergraduate-level degree program at a college or university outside the Netherlands. Students must have completed at least one full year of college credit (60 ECTS) at the time of enrollment in the program and have a 3.3 GPA or higher. UCR is an honors college, which means that a selection procedure determines eligibility for this program.

Students from UCR or Utrecht University partners must apply through the partner program. Please inquire at the Study Abroad Office of your home university if such an agreement is available.

All visiting students live on the UCR campus. Rooms will be available for each accepted visiting student. Financial aid is not available from UCR for visiting students. Financial aid from your home university may be transferred; arrangements can be made on an individual basis, so please make sure to indicate this at the time of application and inquire into options at your home university.

Visiting students at UCR may be enrolled in many of our regular courses with the exception of the following courses:

  • ACC 110 Methods and Statistics
  • ACC 160 English for Academic Purposes (Elementary)
  • ACC 260 English for Academic Purpose (Intermediate)
  • SSC 121 Introduction to Psychology
  • SCI 131 Introduction to Life Science
