On Monday November 25, UCR alumnus Niels Rijke received his Ph.D. at Utrecht University for his research on identity-based personnel appointment policy at orthodox Protestant schools in The Netherlands in relation to human rights. His promoter was prof. Barbara Oomen and UCR supported his research. He performed his research next to his job at the Netherlands Initiative for Education Research (Dutch Research Council). His research received attention in national media (Reformatorisch Dagblad and Nederlands Dagblad).
