Violence against women and girls is one of the most widespread human rights violations in our world today. It remains largely unreported due to the impunity, silence, stigma, and shame surrounding it.
University College Roosevelt supports the United Nations and the Soroptimists in the Netherlands, Suriname, and Curacao with the Orange The World campaign. From 25 November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, until 10 December, Human Rights Day, part of our website will color orange in support of policy and activism for the elimination of violence against women.
UCR aims to live up to our global responsibility in this matter through our policies and support structures. Please use these 16 days to consider your responsibilities and do what you can to raise awareness of and stand up against gender-based violence in any form.
