In 2021, UCR is pleased to offer the Going Glocal program again (detailed information for current students is available on the intranet). Within the program, you can take a course at UCR during the Spring semester to prepare for an internship/fieldwork abroad over the summer.  Going Glocal has been an active program in the past and after a hiatus of a few years it is now back. For an impression of how students experienced Going Glocal in the past, you can listen to our students reminisce.

In 2021, Going Glocal will have a maximum of 15 students who will focus on Modernity and ‘Development’ in Namibia. In 2022, 15 other students will explore Global Justice and Activism in Mexico. In 2023, 15 different students will concentrate on Development and Globalization in Singapore. Each of these courses is complemented with a field course, delivered in one of the countries listed above.
