 Summer Schools at UCR

​Are you interested in Food Politics, Terrorism or becoming a better teacher?
We have just the thing for you!

In June, the summer school kicks off with the 8th edition of the Decolonial Summer School with dr. Rolando Vazquez. With a large number of guest lecturers, artists and intellectuals, you will learn more about 'What does it Mean to Decolonize II? On Education, Nature and Conviviality'.

On July 3, dr. Herman Lelieveldt will start with the 2nd edition of the Food Politics in the EU summer course. He will take you on excursions to the EU in Brussels and local farms, and teach about the politics regarding food together with a number of guest lecturers. You don't want to miss this!

On July 11, prof. Rene Diekstra together with instructors from Harvard University will start the 6th edition of the four day intensive seminar on Excellent Learning through Teaching Excellence. See first-hand why dr. Alexei Karas was awarded Teacher of the Year by Utrecht University in 2017.

On July 17, dr. David Woolner will be returning to UCR to teach the 2nd edition of Confronting Terrorism in Today's World. Explore the changing world since 9/11 with this instructor from Bard College who will guide you through the recent history of terrorism, the role of the media and how radicalization can play a role. Armor yourself with knowledge about confronting terrorism in Today's World.
