 Students Present Research

Last week, two UCR students from the rhetoric track, Judith Veld and Aleksandra Vulic, presented their joint research on ‘persuasion, literary reading and gender’ at the prestigious “Cognitive Futures in the Humanities” conference held at Stony Brook University, Long Island, New York. Their paper, which had come out of research conducted during the Fall 2016 PUUR Acc302 “Embodied cognition and reading” course run by Professor Michael Burke, was very well received by the many leading international scholars and scientists present. These academics also offered sound advice and tips on how the students might take the project forward towards publication.
