The tuition fee for students with a non-EU/EEA nationality is set by the Dutch government at € 8668 for the 2017-2018 academic year. UCR will continue to seek a balance between high quality education and affordability for students.
Apart from the tuition fee, there are other expenses to take into account:
Students with a non-EU/EEA nationality will have to pay for a visa and/or residence permit. At the moment, the residence permit to stay in the Netherlands for three years costs € 307 in total. For more information about residence permits, please see the page on Visa and Residence Permits.
Rent on campus varies between € 300 and € 500. Depending on location and price students may apply for rent allowance with the Dutch government. The cost of housing at UCR is estimated at approximately € 375 per month. This covers rent and utilities: gas, water, and electricity. Students have the use of a private bedroom and a shared living room, kitchenette and bathroom. Room sizes and housing arrangements vary, so please bear in mind that this is only an estimate.
Finally, students are required to fund personal expenses such as meals, clothes, books, sports, insurance, travel and other living expenses. UCR students are automatically members of the Roosevelt's All Student Association (RASA).
There are a number of possibilities to qualify for student loans and financial support. Please see the Financial Support page to find out which options apply to you.
