What to Expect During Your Interview

If you live in the Netherlands or Belgium, you will be invited to Middelburg for an interview as we would like to meet you in person and give you the opportunity to meet us.

If you live in another country or are unable to travel to Middelburg, we can schedule an interview by phone or Skype. In both cases, a representative from the Admissions Office will contact you to arrange a suitable time.

The interview lasts approximately 30 to 45 minutes and is conducted in English. A member of the Admissions Committee will interview you and use your application and supporting documents, such as your letter of motivation, as the starting point. As such, you may assume that reference to any mentioned academic interests in your application documents will be part of this interview. Therefore we recommend that you review your application forms prior to your interview. Naturally, we will also ask you about your motivation to study at a Liberal Arts & Science college, and at UCR specifically.

Lastly, we would like to point out that the interview is a two-way conversation, not a test. So feel free to arrive with some questions of your own.
