 SCI 102 - Scientific Methodology

Content

This course is intended primarily, but not exclusively, for students that do not have a background in the natural sciences. It covers some of the ideas that changed our world view, with a focus on the kind of thinking that was able to produce these paradigm shifts. This focus on the methodology of science is designed to give students an improved understanding of what makes science successful.

Relationship to other courses:

This course is designed to provide a practical understanding of the realities of natural science to students whose primary academic interests lie elsewhere.   It is seen as a useful complement to the perspective of ACC 110 (Methods and Statistics I).
