 A&H 294 - Intermediate Music Theory

Content  

This course builds on the topics of A&H 196 Introduction to Music Theory​, studies them in more depth, and expands on them. Modules on harmony and counterpoint will be followed by a series of sample analyses of larger and more complex compositions from the 18th to the 20th century. Finally, different types of notation (such as mensural notation and tablature) and their interpretation will be addressed with regard to the editing of music.
