 ACC 175 - French I

Content

This course teaches you skills and strategies to deal with a variety of oral and written communication tasks in a wide number of social situations in French speaking countries or with French speaking people. It includes a variety of learning activities aimed at developing vocabulary, grammatical accuracy (e.g. indicative mode and subjunctive) and different language skills, as well as critical thinking.  Such activities include note taking while watching short films or during lectures, writing short essays on cultural topics, discussions following student presentations and reading of texts from various cultural spheres.

Prerequisites

The following course is required in order to take this course:
  • A2 certificate diploma DELF or
  • 4 years of French at high school
