On Wednesday August 27, UCR will host the Convocation Ceremony. During the ceremony, the Academic Year of 2025-2026 will be formally opened, the students of the Class of 2028 are welcomed to UCR’s academic and social community, and the new UCR brand will be launched. The doors open for the public at 17:15 for a showcase.

This week, University College Roosevelt proudly welcomed just over 100 new students to Middelburg. While this year’s incoming group is slightly smaller than in previous years, it is still and incredibly international cohort, with over 40 different nationalities represented.

University College Roosevelt (UCR) is pleased to announce that Dr. Alexei Karas, Director of Strategic Initiatives and Innovation, has successfully obtained a grant through Utrecht University’s Call for Interdisciplinary Education Projects 2025. The two-year, €75,000 project will directly support UCR’s ongoing curriculum reform.

University College Roosevelt (UCR) is proud to announce that Professor Nancy Mykoff has been awarded a prestigious CHARM-EU education innovation grant for her groundbreaking project, “Innovating Education.”

University College Roosevelt (UCR), in collaboration with HZ University of Applied Sciences and Scalda, has been awarded the second prize of the Dutch Education Award 2025, one of the highest national honors in higher and vocational education. The joint initiative, the Joint Research Center Zeeland (JRCZ) in Middelburg, earned the institutions an €800,000 cash prize from the Netherlands Initiative for Education Research (NRO).
